    First Flat of the Month

I felt compelled to report that I've already had my first flat of the month. It didn't take long.

how many did you have last month? do you know what is causing monthly flats for you? sounds like a great excuse to go tubeless.

Most of my flats are from thrones. Today's was from hitting some debris in the street. I think it qualifies as a pinch flat - there were two holes in the tube.

How would tubeless have handled these? I have an inherent distrust of tubeless , probably stemming from inadequate knowledge of them.

Don't ask questions, just go tubeless and don't ever look back! It's the best upgrade you'll do to your bike this month.

cant vouch on how well they work with vs thorns but I haven't had a flat or any issues since ive started running stans rims and tubeless ready schwalbes. its been over a year. I have to add about 5 psi ever couple rides. you can run really low pressures.

problem is you need to rebuild your wheels or buy a new set. unless your wheels are heavy and youre looking to lose rotating weight, might not be the best upgrade valuewise IMO.

I live in goat head central and haven't had a flat in years thanks to tubeless application.

like pop said do it and don't look back! The money you are spending on tubes you probably could have converted already. I feel this is the best bang for the buck you can do to your bike. My opinion

Tubes filled with a sealant such as slime are an EASY fix and require almost no maintenance.
