Was this done by a mountain lion? *Kind of Gory Pic*

I found this about 150 yards from my neighborhood while riding last night. I live in Omaha, Nebraska, and would be surprised that a mountain lion would live around here.

I do live near a somewhat large park area with lots of deer and trees. And I guess at least one dead deer in a tree.....

What do you think did this?

Branches too small to hold weight of a mountain lion and deer. lol

I would say a teen boy picked it up and placed hide in tree. Maybe to impress a young lady on a walk. It worked for me many times.

    Someone just messing around.
I have found deer skulls hanging in trees on several occasions. I think someone is out there playing with dead things.

Mountain Lions bury their leftovers and come back for them later.
You have no excuse for driving to work

    (no excuse for that either)

Likely not a cougar, but they certainly do exist and have been spotted in your area. Whitetail smorgasbord back there.

Photo provided an awesome cartoonish visual of said cougar delicately hanging his unfinished dinner on the nearest tree branch to finish off later.

quite likely. especially if its legs are nowhere to be found. it's been there for awhile, so probably from the fall hunting season at least
