    CycleOps trainer confusion—HELP!

My S.O. Recently got a CycleOps trainer, specifically the Mag+ with Adjuster. I've ridden on this and it seems ok, but I have zero basis for comparison since I've never ridden any other trainers.

So I went to CycleOps website and was WILDLY confused by the absurd array of trainer models they sell. For what is a relatively simple mechanical device, it seemed a bit ridiculous that they have spun up a dozen different models.

So what I'd love to hear from someone knowledgeable is a description of how the mag trainers, air trainers, and fluid trainers FEEL different?

Is one smoother than the other? Is one quieter? Does one offer less resistance? Does one offer more?

Of course this is exactly the kind of personal, subjective info that the worthless comparisons on the website don't give a clue about...

    Thanks!
    Scott

I have the fluid 2 trainer and ride it everyday since its turned cold. I dont have alot of experience on other trainers but the fluid seems really quit compared to the others Iv rode. Also with the fluid trainer it has a indefinite amount of resistance. The more watts you put out the more resistance you will get out of the unit. I guess you can tell by the price range that the wind trainers are the lowest end then mag then fluid. From what Iv read as you move up the feel gets more realistic. I really have no complaints with the fluid its awesome.
