In the '90's, this is about as bling as you could get.

    OR

btw - I NEED those chainrings off that BMC. Do those say "Howa" on them?

    -F

PS - Thanks for the blingin' rep., but those aren't mine. I did have a minor purple ano. habit back then, though.

let me set you guys straight. The most insanely mega-bling encrusted bikes can be found at Lowrider Bike Magazine.
This is my favorite, both the bike and its creator.

I used to own a kestrel rubicon that I bought from Kurt Stockton - who raced for them. It was definitely one of the most blingiest bikes ever. I swapped all the bling out, just so it would get noticed.

if anyone ever finds a picture of an old rubicon with red kooka cranks, red ringle stem, red ringle skewers, red magura rim brakes, red judy DH - that's my bike. Please post and notify me!

Sorry I'm a little late to this party, haven't posted here in a while.

These are bikes I've seen around town over the years.

"Tall Bikes" at a local art festival:

The 2012 NAHBS Artbike bike parade in Sacramento, held during the weekend that the Handmade Bicycle Show was in town. I rode in the parade on my Worksman Port-O-Trike (which I have now converted to fixed gear, btw) and recorded video.

    <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/FLKePsZiTEM" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="480" width="640"></iframe>

Beach cruiser that somebody made to look like a cool version of a California Highway Patrol motorcycle, complete with blue strobe in the rear, red lights in the front, and siren:

CHP lowrider beach cruiser - YouTube
    <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vkJr2UizlJ0" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="480" width="640"></iframe>

"Short bikes" that I saw being ridden around in Old Sacramento:

    scrunched-up bikes - YouTube
    <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/b9JDmbvA9oQ" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="480" width="640"></iframe>

"El Arbol", an electric-assist "tall bike" art tandem that I saw riding around before Stage 1 of the 2010 Amgen Tour of California arrived in downtown Sacramento:

    <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/NuaCmuwZrYE" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="360" width="640"></iframe>

And IMHO, the most badass, unique bike I've ever seen, the Drum Bike! It's a homemade four-wheel tandem with a platform in the middle and a full drum kit. Two riders pedal while a third rider plays the drums. It used to make an appearance at the monthly Second Saturday art festival. Sadly, I haven't seen it around in years.

I just put together a slideshow of the best of the oddball/interesting/funny bikes and bike-related stuff I've seen over the past ten years. All photos were taken by me except the Google Street View screenshot of me captured by the Google car, and the cartoon I shamelessly stole from a RBR member's signature because it's The Truth!

As long as he was on flat level ground and didn't expect to go fast or stop fast it would work just fine

The suspension of your bike sucks if it's different than mine. Really. It sucks. Big time.

I think mine might be a 7 on the crazy scale. Not very bling.. but very much for sale for a silly amount of money. 10/10 for silliness.
