Control Tech 2A seatpost strong enough for MTB?

I'm looking for a new seatpost for my hardtail and found a good deal on the Control Tech 2A post on eBay. It's 350mm long which is generally a mountain bike length post, but on the Control Tech website it's post as a road seatpost. Does anyone know if I can safely run it on my bike?

Just use it, most "road" parts are built to the same strength targets. Plenty of roadies forget to lift their asses off the saddle for potholes and railroad track crossings at speed and that stresses a post as much as a mountain biker does when he forgets to lift for a rock.
I don't post to generate business for myself or make like I'm better than sliced bread
