    Chris King Pewter- colour change?

Has Chris King ever changed the colour of it's Pewter components ?
I've been offered a headset that doesn't look right. The seller reckons they changed the colour- but why would they do that?
    I reckon it's a fake...

If it is used, they fade.

There are usually some variation in the anodizing process from batch to batch.

Or it might be a fake.
I crashed hard enough on my Tallboy to break my leg,
The carbon is way more durable than most people.

Have you seen the headset in person, or just a digital photo? Between the initial photography and then viewing on any random (usually uncalibrated) display, you can't trust the much in the appearance of colors beyond the obvious e.g. red vs. blue, light vs. dark, etc.
Nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

No, I haven't seen the headset in person, but the seller admits it is a different colour to the top cap he has and he claims the reason is that King recently changed the Pewter colour. That is news to me. Has anyone heard similar rumours?
