Bought a Kurt Kinetic: Now What?

Been riding for decades, never rode an indoor bike, never wore a heart rate monitor, never took a spinning class etc. So I when it snowed in October this year I bought the Kurt Kinetic.

    Couple questions:

Do I get a computer with cadence and a heart rate monitor to attach to the rear wheel? Which one? (Just the basics.)

Any good articles out there to get started? The Kinetic came with a Spinervals video but it seems like it was made for indoor cycling pros or something and assumed knowledge of RPMs by heart rate and various related buzzwords of the genre. Not helpful...

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

    I love it. Sold! Thanks...

A ride a day keeps the therapist away.

Get the power meter for it. Then do 2x20s all winter. Then ride really fast when summer rolls around.

I have been thinking about this to keep me in shape during the winter. Now that I am getting older spring is becoming especially painful! I miss the young me!

You can get lots of gadgets or just get on, but on music or TV, and ride until your time runs out.

I have a Kurt Kinetic Rock & Roll Machine.

During the winter, I'll watch cycling races on the tube or on the laptop and
pedal away on my roadbike. It's done wonders for my cabin fever.
The Road Machine is the best trainer available.
Just make sure you get a "Trainer" specific tire.
It'll make things a whole lot easier for you.
    Enjoy!

I bought the KK Wireless computer and just use the computer.
I cut the cadence wire (I don't need no stinkin' cadence).
I have never used the heart monitor.
Other than that, it's an nice piece.
