    bike theft

    ok guys I know probably some have had this happen to them. what is there for you guys who running higher end bikes? does your regular home insurance cover it? you buy extra insurance somewhere? what kind of locks are the best to lock the bike complete tires and all?

    You need to check with your particular insurance. It might cover it, it might not. Usually bikes are only insured up to a certain amount, which is usually less than the price of a good bike!

    You have to call them and get the bikes bumped up on the policy. Usually doesn't cost much extra. I had to do that with my Hi-Fi system years ago.

    I insured my bike with my insurance company, it has it's own policy. Covers up to $2,000 and it's only $20 a year for the policy.
