Best AM Stem Size

I'm thinking of going shorter. Running a 70mm now and don't like the transition from my DH (which is 50mm) back to AM every time I switch bikes. Feels kinda squirrely for a while until I get used to it again, like the old 110mm. Anyone running shorter stems on AM?

Only ever run a 40mm or 50mm, anything longer feels clumsy and not cool for me at all.
All depends on the bike, rider, how wide your bars are, etc, but 70mm or more feels like a broom handle is connecting my bars, cheers

im running 50mm on a semi slack hardtail. are you worried about the climbs? got enough steerer tube to try using your DH stem as a test? i think you will like a shorter stem.
