Won't say for traction as that is a personal choice. The bigger issue is getting it to set. Typically a UST tire is easier to set and less likely to leak.

Make a pot of coffee, do a search and get ready to read a whole lot of stuff. Lots of good info here on tubeless tires. I've had great success with Specialized tires thus far.

Maxxis is the most trouble free tires I've used in Tubeless.

I highly recommend you get an adapter so you can load the concoction threw the stem rather then dumping straight into the tire. The latter can get messy

Most tyre brands and models are available in either Tubeless Ready or UST versions. It's up to you to decide what tyre you want to use, then get a tubeless version.
The trouble with having an open mind is that people will insist on trying to put things in it.

Bontrager TLR or Geax TnT tires on Bonty Duster TLR rims have been the easiest and most reliable for me. Usually with Geax Pit Stop or Slime Pro sealant.

Tubeless tires mounted on tubeless rims, designed to work together as a system.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

No adapter needed if you have the Stans stems and their 2oz bottle. Stans stems have a removable core. Then use the cone shaped dispenser to squeeze it down into the tube.

I have had good luck with Specialized 2bliss, very good luck with Kenda products in their UST and SCT versions. Tires I have had trouble with are Continental both with seating and holding air once seated. It seems they lose air much quicker than other brands.
