Ballistol Lube/Cleaner, anyone here use it?

Anyone ever use Ballistol on their bikes?

I use it on my gun and knives...it is a *kick butt lube and cleaner. On my gun it leaves behind a slick surface (almost teflon feeling)

The smell is horrible. I use frog lube for my firearms.

It would probably work well for a chain. The solvent/cleaning component of those lubes isnt very good for anything else on a bike since it'll strip out grease and is very thin.

Isnt it fairly expensive? I think you get a little more control with a drip type chain lube. Might last you longer.

I clean my gun indoors, bike outdoors.

My hockey gear stank like crap... Unbearable...Ballistol smells like heaven compared to my hockey gear.

    Love it

Been using it for about 2 years exclusively for bicycle and dirt bike chains as well as guns.
It is clean and not tacky/sticky. I use a very very light coat on the chain and I ride in VERY dusty conditions. It has been by far the best thing I have used.

Check out Hickok45's youtube vid on Glock cleaning, he makes a comparison to an old cast iron skillet that really make sense, you will understand after viewing.
