Bad treatment at the SRAM Stand in the MONDIAL du DEUX ROUES 2007

    Good morning.

Sorry that I'm sending this message, but I had sent an e-mail to all the officials distributors of SRAM, but until now I didn't receive any answer!!!
As I'm doing my doctor thesys in Geology in France (Paris) me and my family (wife and son) went to the MONDIAL du DEUX ROUES 2007, to see, for the first time, an exposition in this scale. I went to the SRAM & CIA stand to see, specially, the new groups SRAM X0 and Red, and the new fork SID. In the first moment, everything was allrigth, I took a customer catalog, I saw the exposed products and components, and
when a person gave me a sticker, I asked if I could see the new SID or the
Group Red, this same person said: "We don't have more stickers!!!", two times and with an angry voice!!!
For this reason, I have two comments:
    - this behavior don't seems the quality of the SRAM & CIA components!!!
    - even, I said, even, that I was asking for a single and simple sticker, noboby deserves this kind of treatment, in any situation, specially in front of your son!!

    Best regards,

    Alexandro Rocha Scislewski

    Hello Mopartodd.

I agree with you, I accept that we don't have just good days, sometimes bad days occur and it's usual, there is no problem, I understand. I have also bad days!!rsrsrsrs
But I think that if the person is in a bad day, and he/she works directly with customers, doesn't stay in the stand, nobody is guilty for his/her bad day. This is also life!!
I was so angry because I wasn't asking for another stick (detail, I didn't ask for the fisrt one!!!!! He gave me!!!), I was asking about equipments.

Somehow, I believe there was more to this story than what we're hearing.

    Mopartodd, I understood the joke!!!rsrsrs
But, I didn't ask for a sticker!!! I didn't want a sticker!!! This was not the problem.

I was infuriated with the occurrence, for the fact to have happened in front of my son and my wife, without having no reason for this (I didn't ask for a sticker), I just wanted to see the new SRAM products.
I agree and I understand that we always do not wake up in a good day, but I think also that, when a person who directly works with consumers/distributors wake up in a bad day, he wouldn't be present in the stand, nobody has guilt of his bad day.
Sincerely, I really thought about boycotting SRAM, for personal ideology, therefore I have moral and professional ideals that I follow in my personal and professional life. I work with fiscalization and daily I have contact with different people, from diverse areas, from different levels. But, as you said well, it was just one isolated fault, and humans can make a mistake, even me.

you had a miscommunication with someone at a expo and you're so humiliated that you sent email to execs at sram and created a username on some message board to complain about it?

what are you hoping to gain?

Somehow, I don't think "Can I see the new SID" would get you a "WE DON'T HAVE ANY MORE STICKERS!"

    I think you're full of butt-mud.

I think if you had a negative experience with a company rep you've got every right to e-mail, call or contact them and express your displeasure. Especially in front of your family. F- these other jokers giving you grief.

Am I missing something? Maybe they wanted to let somebody know they ran out of stickers? Did you not get to see the new products? Did they tell you to go f'k yourself? Something seems to be missing from this story.

Unless the OP poster didn't wrote the complete story, he's making a storm out of a glass of water.

I understand that he didn't like that the employee had yelled, he didn't swear or insulted directly anyone (unless the OP has been nice and only posted the response without any swearwords). Maybe we're just too hung up in that people has to be nice and sweet in front of children, but real life isn't like that.

I'm also lost on 'I want to see this product' to 'I don't have any stickers'.

The OP is lying. It's very obvious.

    Thanks Jugdish.
At least one person was friendly and understood the topic.
I told all the story, on the contrary that several of you are thinking.
I just asked about the new SID, JUST!!!! But if this person had some problems with some "stickers", it's not my problem. I tried to explain in english, french and spanish, but I was chosen.
I don't want anything from SRAM.
Sorry that I'm human and wish respect to everyone, not just for me!!!!

So let me see how this goes.

You: "Hello. I saw your new stuff in a magazine and I'd like to look at your new SID if that's possible."
Evil Doer (aka SRAM employee): "WE DON'T HAVE ANY MORE STICKERS! GO AWAY OR I'LL SELL YOUR FIRST BORN CHILD TO THE RUSSIANS FOR SLAVE LABOR AND SODOMIZE YOUR POODLE!"

    Unlikely.

I've heard it's pretty nice, but SRAM is out of stickers for the SID and asked their employees to inform to the possible customers of this situation.
