    550b on the horizon?

How long before 550b? Should we call it 550b or ISO 559?

imagine, better acceleration, lighter weight wheelset, stronger wheels, and better flickability

This is yet again another reason to talk about rim sizes and not approximate rubber sizes. I do not agree that 700c wheels should be called 29ers because road vs mtb, same thing for 650b/27.5. In the case of 559/26, has there been a different descriptivish name prior to 26 in the cycling world? I'll make the assumption that it wasn't 550b. Why 650b?, because 650a and 650c were already taken.
There are those aficionados that do know the 559/584/622 terms (and others), why call it something else for the Joe Schmoes that could care less anyway? Marketing I suppose, but let me be clear... ride what feels good.

Not this again... There are 3 wheel sizes. Pick a bike that fits, has the geometry, suspension type, and wheel size you want... then, go ride. If you need the industry or forum opinion to sway your bike choice, you are riding for the wrong reason.

It wasn't late. It was posted on April 1st. Actually pretty clever and well thought out. One of the best 26" wheel size topics all year, imo. And they had great timing.

I agree. I think too many people buy or ride a certain thing because it is popular or they think they should because everyone else does. what works for one may not work for another. nothing wrong with riding whats best for you even if its not the hot ticket right that minute
