    1x10 Cannondale Scalpel help!!

So I recently made the switch from 2x10 to 1x10 with my 2013 Cannondale Scalpel 1. I love the drivetrain, but am having chainline issues. Right now, I have the cranks shifted as far left as I can with out the chainring hitting the stay (see picture). Unfortunately, because of the chainline, the chain is rubbing on the outside of the derailleur cage. Does anyone have experience with this or know how to fix it? Are you using your original 2x crank with one ring removed?

If so, I guess this wasn't a problem before the conversion.

In the picture I am; however I do have a 1x10 spider from North Shore Billet. The chain line is actually worse with the 1x10 spider.

No, this wasn't a problem before.

shifted to the left meaning you removed the BB and put the spacers on the other side so it would sit as far left as possible?

also, when you say the chain is subbing on the outside of the RD cage, which side, the inside? (close to the spokes) or the outside? what gears does this happen in? ony the top, only the bottom, or multiple on each.

there are usually 3 adjustments on a RD, there's the lower limit, upper limit, and body angle. that might be your answer, but i'm guessing if it didn't happen before, the chain line was perfect before and you should return the cranks to the position they were in prior.

The bb is shifted as far as I can get it to the left. I removed the cranks and added spacers. The chain is rubbing on the side AWAY from the spoke. The chainline was good when it was setup as a 2x10. It has never been good as a 1x10. It runs in the 3 lowest (biggest cogs) gears

yeah. i would put the spacers back exactly where they were, then it should work just like it did before. OOC, why would you move the cranks over?

    1x10 Cannondale Scalpel help!!

Ok, I actually fixed it. I'll try to explain it here so that anyone else who wants to do this with their Scalpel can have something to reference. This was done with an X0 2x10 drivetrain.

    Materials:
    1 NW chainring
1 North Shore Billet 1x10 Spider
    1 5mm bb spacer
    1 X01/XX1 pulley

First, remove the cranks and put the 5mm spacer on the non drive side (pic 1).

Next, put the chainring on the new 1x10 spider BACKWARDS with the washer in between the spider and chainring.

Finally, remove the lower pulley and replace it with an X01/XX1 pulley.
