    Opinions on Kaitai?

What is everyone's opinion on the Kaitai? I ride some trails and some street occasionally, was wondering how the Kaitai is on the trails? The forks look like they suck, anything else i would need to change?

This is the bike i am looking at, i believe it's a 2010

Yes you can install a new fork, any 29er fork with a straight 1 1/8 steerer should fit. The frames on this bike are very similar to their older 29er mountain bike frames, maybe just reduced tire clearance. If you are riding 80% street and 20% dirt this would be a good choice, but if you are 80% dirt you would be better off with a real 29er for the bigger and stronger tires.
