    HiFi Fork Advice

    My wife has been riding her 2007/8 HiFi since new.

    Her cheap Manitou Relic fork has lost its seals and has never really been able to use its full travel. On top of this, I don't think that any of the adjustments on the fork have ever really changed the feeling of the fork.

    I am looking to upgrade to a decent for for her, but my problem is;
    - It is difficult to find a 26' G2 120mm fork with a 9mm QR.

    Would a non-G2 120mm fork change the geometry enough to be significantly noticable?
    (Keeping in mind that my wife is a novice and not in-tune with small changes)

    How about if I went with a 100mm non-G2 fork?

    Thanks for your thoughts!

    I'm almost in the same boat. I've never liked the Manitou Relic Comp fork on my '07 Hifi, especially now that I've upgraded to a Niner with a RS fork. It would be nice if I could pick up an affordable RS fork to replace the Manitou, but I've never quite understood the special "G2" geometry, so I don't know how that will affect things.
