HELP Geometry decision inside/Supercaliber 29er vs hifi 29

I am going from a Supercaliber 29er to a hifi 29er. I was looking at sizes and I need your help. This bike will be used as a XC/race bike.

    BIKE......................................Super Cal......hifi ...........hifi
    Frame Size..............................LG (19").....LG(19").....XL(21")
    Standover (mm).........................749.30........748.00. ....752.00
    Effective top tube (mm)...............652.80........617.20.....637.60
    Cockpit length (mm)...................757.70........722.00.....74 2.60
    Minimum cockpit (mm)...............742.70........707.00.....727.60
    Maximum cockpit (mm)..............772.70........737.00.....757.60
    Effective Chainstay Length (mm)..462.00........462.10.....462.10
    Bottom bracket height (mm)........309.90........320.00.....320.00
    Bottom bracket drop (mm)............60.00..........45.00.....45.00

SO based on these measurements should I go with the XL based on the similarity in Effective TT and Cockpit length?

I am going to try and ride both of them tomorrow.

The difference in the top tube length is probably because the Hifi has the G2 geometry and the SuperCaliber has the original Genesis geometry. Hence the geometry figures are not directly comparable.

    Duke,
The SCal has raceday geometry with a fairly slack seat tube angle so the TT measurement is a bit misleading compared to a 73 or 74 degree seat tube angle (not sure what it is on the HiFi). G2 did shorten the TTs as well a bit. How long of a stem were you using on the Supercal? Why "upgrade"? I find the SCal to be a great XC racer (at least for a slow guy like me...

i had a 100mm stem on the supercaliber and a 5mm offset seatpost. It actually isn't an upgrade but a frame warranty. They are giving me a hifi fraame. i was going to try to ask for a 21 since it is closest to the supercaliber on paper measurements. fyi. i am 6'1". i also felt strethed out on the SC so maybe the hifi 19 is what i should get......?

I have the 19" '07 hifi pro. I am 6'1" with a 34" inseam, and 35" arms (dress shirt measurement). I am also currently running a 110mm stem and 5mm offset seatpost. I hope that helps you decide on the size.
