2010 hiFi Plus - added some wider bars and changed out the front tire. XDX seems fine in the rear. Love this machine and get compliments on it all the time.

    Right you are, Ken!
kerkove just posted a vid of that area & there's a big stinkin' power line in it I couldn't recall.
    Lack of air possibly?

Here is my 2010 X-Cal. I absolutely love this bike. It is just so much fun to ride. I could never go back to a 26er either. I have tried my Cube Ltd Pro a few times since and it just does not feel "right" anymore.

haha yea I took a short ride on my Fuji Sunfire with 26 inch wheels and I felt like I was on a bmx/kids bike. I have since downgraded the fuji to my beater bike for bad weather, or for situations where I could get my bike stolen.

I like the Gary Fisher collection bikes a lot more in these pictures than they look on the website, however I do wonder if they will ever expand the 26" Hardtail line. What happens if I need a warranty replacement on my Piranha?

I asked that same question of Fisher's customer service dept a few weeks ago. Here was the response:

"Trek has actually owned Fisher bikes since 1995, so it does not affect your warranty. We do keep many frames around for as long as possible, but I cannot guarantee that if your frame were to break that we would have the same frame available. We would use Fisher frames for Fisher replacements until they run out, then the replacement would be one of the Trek models. Rest assured that the replacement frame would be a comparable or better frame. It is very unlikely that you will ever have an issue with your frame. If you do, hopefully we will still have a Fisher frame left. If not, we would not be able to repaint a Trek frame with a different paint scheme."

Hope that clarifies things a bit.

No problem, glad I could help. Looking at the specs on both the 09+10 Piranhas and the new Fisher Collection Treks, they seem to use the same gold series 6061 T6 aluminum frame, so I imagine that a future replacement of your Piranha (assuming the GF frames are gone by then) would be of any one of the Wahoo, Advance, or Tarpon frames, letting you pick the color?

    '09 Fisher Advance

I posted my bike a while back, but I have since done some upgrades to it.

Since my last post I have done:

    XTR front and rear derailleurs
Mavic XC717 rims w/XTR hubs and DT double butted spokes
    WTB Laser V SLT saddle
Panaracer Fire XC rear and Dart front tire
Race Face bar, seatpost & stem
    ODI Rogue lock on grips

It now weighs south of 25#. New it was over 32#.
