Ferrous 29 Single Speed Spindle Length?

I am trying to mount a square taper SS crank on my Ferrous 29. It is a White Industries ENO. They suggest a 113mm spindle. But when everything is tight, the crank arms BARELY clear the chainstays. With a slight deflection, I am going to be stripping paint. Does anyone know the correct spindle length? The next size when using the White BB is 121mm. But this seems too long. Any help is appreciated.

The ultimate measurement to look for is the middle ring should be 47.5-50mm from the center of the bb. This is the recommended chain line in order for the front der to hit all the gears and function properly. If the middle ring is within that range, then that's where the crank arms fall. The "profile" of the arms changes from model to model and sometimes you end up with a fit that is less than perfect. Go back and double check the position of the middle ring.

Shimano does make some bb spindles in 115 and 118 as well.

    Good luck!
