Bonty 12* Sweep Bar Causing Hand Cramps?

I just got a new X-cal. I find that on long descents, I get cramping in the pinky edge of my hand. I have rotated the brake levers up. I initially thought my grips were the cause (too large), but now I am thinking that the amount of sweep in the bars might be the culprit.

I like the sweep bars. They are comfortable, stable, and ride nice. But has anyone else had cramping issues caused by them?

I posted this in another forum and the general consensus is to switch to Ergon grips. Any other advice?

I went to the Ergons on my 2010 X-Cal, but my choice was primarily to end some burning to the skin on my right hand. If you go that route, the grips will need some tweaking on the angle, etc., but they may be the ticket for you.

I had more of a problem with the Shimano M525 rear hub on the bike.
