On another post I mentioned my quest for an X-cal. My lbs had to call Trek in Wisconsin to see what the deal was and were told that "...the 2010s are gone and there won't be any more until August, and those will be the 2011s."

They told lbs that they had 10 19" Cobias in the warehouse, so I ended up snagging one of those. Hope this helps.

I very highly doubt that. It will never happen. Where did you hear such a silly thing?

You honestly think that the company that sold out of pretty much all of their 29ers during the first 3 months of the year is going to stop making them?

Ah, kind of missed that with the title being "29er Rumor" it must have thrown me off.

Some of you guys should work on your reading comprehension skills.
I hate 650b because it's not as fun as 26 inch wheels and because it doesn't have the rollover ability of 29 inch wheels.

It would not surprise me if Trek sold the 26ers and GF sold only 29ers. Lbs, today, told me Fisher has experienced an 80% increase in demand for 29 inch bikes in 2010.

29 will always be inferior to 26. 650b is the freckled, red-headed step-son of both.

Shoot! I meant, to say that they WOULD be producing 29er's only. Typo, sorry. And yeah, it's definately a rumor regardless, I'm pretty sure the GF 26'ers are still selling well. Heard such a silly thing, actually, on MTBR.

I definately don't think it's true, but it may not be a bad idea for Fisher to concentrate on 29er's and let Trek do the 26 inch stuff. I suppose as long as the 26er's keep selling though, they'll keep making them as they should
