    2009 Hifi 26er

I have an opportunity to get an 09 HiFi frame with an RP2 rear shock at a pretty good price in my opinion. My only concern is what style fram is it. I do more XC riding and currently have an 04 Jekyll. I am 5'6" 185#. I tend to go pretty hard on the downs but also want something that climbs well. I also have a line on a Roscoe and am not sure which one to go after. Any and all advise is appreciated.

I have a 2009 HiFi. Totally fun XC trail bike Rather than a XC race bike. A lightweight plush "long travel" bike rather than a harsh race bike or a lheavy weight freeride/AM bike. An all arounder.
It's a quick turning fun bike. What size HiFi are you looking at?
I have tried the Roscoe and it is a bigger slightly more cumbersome bike.
THe Rocoe has more travel, stiffer and is more burly.
The rear suspension and braking system is better on the Roscoe.
Either bike is good, just depnds on what kind of riding you do.

    HiFi

Stay away from the Hifi. I am not joking. I cant tell u how many swingarms i have seen broken on the hifi series. I have personally broken 4. Trek replaced each one, but you are without your bike for about a month each time. After the last one Trek gave me a Roscoe frame. It is far superior to the Hifi. If you cant handle the extra 1.5 lbs, skip lunch for a week. Get the Roscoe.

I have an 08 HiFi. I'd stay away as well. Trek isn't as friendly with the warranty as they used to be, i'm having problems getting them to do anything for me with a broken seat stay.
