    2009 Gary Fisher/Trek Cobia 29er worth buying?

New Rider, noob question. Would be used on Florida trails.
Instead of buying a new, entry level bike @$700 with low end components(Rockhopper for ex), would it be worth it to buy this older model that has been upgraded?
    2014 Rockshox Sid 29, 100mm fork-has about 3 rides on it

    Sram x9 drive-train and shifters
    Shimano hollowtech II crank
Avid Elixir R Brakes with 180mm G3 rotors
    Bontrager R saddle
    Bontrager Race Wheels
2 Bontrager Jones XR dual compound tires and 1 Continental x-king tire
Race Face Evolve stem and seat post

That's a nice setup. I'd say, always go for used if you are on a budget.

Yep, looks like some good upgrades and the frame is decent as long as its not cracked or beat to hell. SRAM X-9 is good stuff, and I've never ridden a SID but have hear they are decent. All in all sounds like a much better bike than an entry-level $700 purchase.

Just check if out really well, make sure all controls work, check frame carefully, etc. etc.
