    2001 GF Paragon

I just picked up this Paragon for $100, and am looking to restore it and get it powder coated.

It was ridden maybe 500 miles and parked for a decade. It was never cleaned or maintained from the looks of it.

However, despite being awfully dirty, all the parts functioned including the fork, which is a Manitou SXR.

    Here is my plan:

    Frame: powdercoat. What color?
    Fork: rebuild and coat
Wheels: AC Disc with sapim spokes and ceramic bearing. Got for a bargain
    Shifter: 1x9 full shimano xt
Brakes: XT dual control hydros, regular front brake
Controls: stock for now, until I find some deals on some sexy, gloss black parts that aren't heavy.
    Seat: Fizik Gobi
Cranks: stock with absolute black single chainring
    Headset: rebuilt stock

Now, the only thing remaining is color scheme. I was considering a metallic blue. I really want this bike to stand out as something special.

I know you can only powdercoat a base with decals and then clear with special vinyl decals. Where can I source these? Or should I just go single stage with decals on the outside? Or naked?

So, what color? And any input on my build? (This is a budget build, I have all these parts laying around)

What COLOR! Decals are unobtainium, so the original scheme is not feasible.

Personally I'd leave the bike paint as is. Looks clean for an older GF

I agree. After having it a while, I really like the paint. It looks way more beat in real life.

Its still not done yet, need some BB7s
