    2000 Tassajara upgrades?

I've got an old (2000) stock Tassajara and believe that some of the components are beginning to show some wear and tear. I'm primarily interested in upgrading the drive train and front fork but I'm unsure where to even begin or what will fit. I understand that it is probably not worth upgrading but I like this bike and would like to keep riding it so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The Tass is not a bad shares it's frame geometry with the Hoo Koo E Koo and other Fisher hardtails. If it is in good condition and you want to keep it for a while then it is well worth upgrading.

I'd say LX or XT Shimano (SRAM X7 and X9 if you prefer the SRAM equivalent) components would be about as far as you'd need to go...LX if you're looking to save money, XT if you want to splurge. Not sure what you're after for a fork....there are a lot of options available, but I wouldn't go for anything much longer than the stocker (100mm, I believe).
