    1x10 set ups

Has anyone changed out their 3x10 to a 1x10 with a chain guide. Did you change your chain ring and what size did you change it to . Im thinking of dropping from a 33t to a 31t. Any thoughts.

I'd be interested in this. About to build up a 2011 HiFi pro frame and I normally ss. So was thinking 1x9 or 1x10 rather than double ring?

I've gone 1x10 on my Superfly 100 Elite using an e13 XCX-ST D-Type guide and a Homebrewed Components spiderless chainring (36 tooth).

Does anyone know if the e-13 guides will work with an outer bashguard.

It depends on which e13 guide you want to use. The XCX or MRP 1x won't. But alot of other all mountain or DH style guides will. If you need the protection of a bash ring.

My '10 RF is 1x9 now with a MRP FDR mounted guide and 32t /11-34- all that is needed for Santos IMO. Love the set up except that I do miss my bash a bit. Don't miss all that 3x stuff at all.

I run a 1x9 with an FSA V-Drive crank, acrylic bash guard and an N-Gear jump stop. It all depends on how many hills you have and if you prefer to spin or grind it out. I run a 34T front with an 11-34 spread on the rear.

What bike do you have, I was looking at the N-gear jump stop but was not sure it would fit on the rumblefish with the suspension linkage in the way.

It is a SuperCal hardtail, but the N-Gear would probably not work on a Rumblefish. You would need something like the MRP that fits behind the bottom bracket flange.

But this will not work with a outer bashring.
