    Need more Info

The components matter. Is it stock (as bought at the store)? Do you know the cranks, the wheelset, the brakes, etc?

Hard to give you an answer without more info

    Retail

I paid $700-$800 new in 1999. Figuring the bike is now 8 years old, maybe $200. I still ride mine, mainly as a commuter for the last three years but it needs some TLC (new chain, hub, BB, chainrings). Great bike.
