    1992 Montare

    Hey, this might be a long shot, but...

    I'm helping a guy do a fun single speed project with a Montare frame. It's from the era when Fisher used the 88mm threadless bb shell, pressed in bearings, c-clips, ala Fat Chance and Klein.

    The spindle is damn long, and that puts a damper on his chosen crank.

    Anyone ever find a substitute bb spindle, or any other ideas that would alloy us to use a more moderate spindle length?

    I don't think that's a '92.... but I do think you should snap even a cell phone photo of it and post these inquiries in Vintage/Retro. There are a number of old-school refurbisher/obsessors in there that will have good data for you.
