    Protection help

I recently got a new 2013 Fuji Nevada 1.9D and after riding it a few times I've started noticing the frame that runs under the chain is getting chipped. There is a thin plastic tap on the frame but the chain is still messing up the paint. Is there anything I can do to keep this from getting worse?

Thanks for the ideas. I went to my bike shop and they told me to wrap a tube around the bar and zip tie it. I have this on right now but I'll probably end up with one of your options

I have used this stuff on my frames for over 15 years. It's a THICK CLEAR urathane tape used for stone protection on vehicles. Comes in various sizes and lengths (I have a 4" x 12' roll) that can be cut and put under cables for cable rub issues too. Although it's pretty pricey, if your willing to pay $1000+ on a bike frame then why would $20-30 to protect it be an issue? The pics of the installed tape has been on my GT bike is after 10 years and the pic on the silver chainstay shows after 7 years of riding........hardly a scratch visible!!!!

Look on ebay or try searching for brand shown in pic.
