    Tips to bend tapered tubes

    Hello,

    I'm Ricard from Barcelona.

We need to bend seat stays on the tapered area. It is dificult to bend with the "pulley type" bending machine without issues.

Does somebody know any tip to bend them better?

    Many thanks!

I do that in my 10" radius fork blade bender regularly. Just by hand; they bend easily.

What Type/brand of seat stay are you bending?
Some seat stays of the very thin walled lightweight variety are heat treated and won't bend, while other lower spec stays bend easily.
Columbus 'Life' Stays won't bend for instance.

If I don't make an attempt, how will I know if it will work?
