    Frame spreading?

I have an 80's frame that needs new parts. I am thinking to buy a 135 mm wheelset and sticking it on there. Apparently, I need to get the frame spread. Currently, the rear drop outs are 130mm.

    Is this a good idea?

If not, I will go try and find the properly spaced hubs,

    Thanks.

    Just buy a 130mm wheelset

Why not just get a 130mm rear hub/wheel for it?

In any case, you can spread the dropouts that much with no problem. All you need is the frame, your foot, and your hands, really. Just be careful and take it slow.

I dont know much about hub spacing. If you say theyre still widely available, I will go seek them out.

    Thanks for your advice.
