    what is the difference between the vertical and horizontal versions?

    The position of the vise and clamp. The horizontal one also comes with a set of dedicated upper vise jaws for each tubing size so you can use a length scale. The vertical one works on a horizontal set up, as you can see in my first picture, but the horizontal one will not work vertically unless its on a huge rotary table/riser block or the clamp will hit the table.

    I have mine horizontally on a very small bridgeport with the head turned and it works, but I could use the extra few inches that the dedicated horizontal one provides.
