edit: also what kind of bikes are those behind the genny ? Looks like 36" inchers :o

Thanx Ya the tires say 32 but the tape says 31.5ish! The other bikes are 36ers
They are a lot of fun to ride!

Subbed because I'm curious what will come of this project.

My 29er feels awkward as hell on a bmx track compared to my 26" dirt jumper. Cant imagine a larger wheel will feel better.

Here acouple more pics sorry it took so long but I was procrastinating on how to raise the HT angle from 66* to 70* so I finally decided on the JD2 trick and it did OK!!

Looks like it's going to be goofy bike! And that's a good thing IMO.
I always like watching your threads, Todwil, thanks.

Unicycle.com for rims and spokes, Waltworks for the new mountain bike tire

    Hey;

Frankly, I'm not seeing how these mods were accomplished. Chainstays shortened, ST or HT angle. It's not fair to do such things and offer no insights. I assume this is 7005 aluminum, so where did you source your new TT?

Inquiring and curious minds want to know these things. Details man, DETAILS! ;)

I thought that's the idea...to do the mods and make it look original....ish:D

I cut the chain stays at the bottom bracket and the seat stays at the seat tube. I shortened the Cs 1.750" and sanded about .250" off getting it square and flush.
The ST was cut off at the BB as well and shortened and raised to about 70* it was
Shortened till it met the SS ST previous welded intersection sanded to fit together again
    Then welded.
I didn't want to to cut the HT off so I thought about mitering a notch then pulling it closed and welding but I was worried it wouldn't look right so the next idea was to bend the DT
4* but it needed to close to HT to look OK the closest it would get is about 7" but it did the trick now there is just a little dimple from this so I think a piece of tubing gusset to cover it
    up.

Since you're the one to work most closely with this bike, I figured you might be able to answer this question:
What kind of tire does this frame appear able to clear? For example, could it fit a 29x3 Knard (by Surly) on a ~35mm rim?

Thinking this might be a donor for a "poor man's Krampus".

Well Ive been a little lazy lately and havent worked on this the top tube is mostly welded
in but I need to make the headtube gussets.
