Recent trip to Northern CA, near Mt. Lassen. The middle of a 14 mile cross-country ride. Only saw one other person the whole time out (hiker, near a camp ground) Too bad I didn't get any cool mountain top pics.

Bingo. Its a 170mm Lyrik Solo Air with the DH damper. I miss travel adjust sometimes, but high speed descents are so nice. The green is Lamborghini Verde Ithica automotive paint - 3-stage and everything. Foes has a nice green powdercoat that is a similar color, but misses all the metal flake and candy. If I ever build a downhill bike it will be raw/scotchbrite like your FXR.

Its a large 2010 FXR with the 135mm/9mm rear triangle. Its right around 31 lbs when I have the light/tubeless wheels on it (its in summer/downhill mode right now).

That is good to hear, Charlie. That's the size I will be getting once the money is in the budget for it.

Yours is kind of a custom XL size right? These bikes hide there size better than a lot of other bikes.

Love the polished frame, beautiful bike. Still riding my '07 5" FXR, haven't seen the need to update yet. Had the Curnutt XTD coil serviced the other day and it's made a big difference to the plushness. Back end handles much better now, feels 'invisible'.

Getting the frame REAL soon, but then I've got to get all the other parts and get it all together. Going shopping at Sea Otter on Saturday. One of the big things I’ve got to iron out if my current Mavic SL’s (now SX’s iirc) can be converted from QR to thru axel 142 12mm for the Shaver. So if I have to buy new wheelsets and forks it could be a bit before it’s ready to roll.
