I've been just on a few rides on the roco but I find it real smooth. I'll get back with a decent review after a few setting changes.

Must have been that particular fork then. I've had my curnutt fork since early 2004 and it's always worked amazingly - so much so that I can't bring myself to replace/upgrade it (not that it needs replacing). Maybe the one you rode wasn't set up or the damper needed tuning/servicing.

I feel the same way. Though I will say that it did take some time to dial it in but...wowza it just soaks up the bumps and jumps...

aren't that a big betty freeride 2.4 and a wicked will freeride 2.5?

Yes, but I think mine are the downhill ones. Definitely heavier tires than the minions.

Here are a few pictures of my new FXR I just finished building up. The color is candy black over raw.

Haha. Thanks slim. But no way am I giving that thing up. Being somewhat local to Foes Fabrication, I have always lusted over these bikes. Now that I have one, it is so much better than I could have imagined. Pedals so well for a 7" bike that weighs more than it should. The weight is due to the components I have used but I built it up to be pretty beefy. Pedals much better than the 6" travel Cannondale Moto it is replacing.

Nice, I am also a local and have been to the foes shop a few times. It's a comforting feeling knowing that if anything happens to your bike you can always take it to shop where your bike was made.

Anyone interested in a XL '11 Hydro w/ '12 888 rc3 ti? Look a few posts above this one for pics.
