    OK, shameless plug for www.ghisallowheels.com

Hey, that was 4,388 feet of climbing, but who was counting.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

    My Foes Fly

My Foes ProLite XC. Unfortunately it's been sitting in my bedroom for the 7 or 8 months collecting dust. I can't decide what parts I want to build it with.

The paint on both are custom doings by a local customer/friend/riding pal who paints professionally and happens to ride for Foes. The Fly is color matched to the blue anodizing of Chris King headset(installed).
The ProLite is a interesting combo. It's Rootbeer brown with a fine metal flake that lightly purples in the correct light, although it's classy unlike like the cheesey chameleon paint scheme of brown, green, purple you tend to see.

Those colors are very cool! I saw a fxr the other day in the black with a purple overlay,
slightly darker than yours. In the shade it looked black and in the sun it was deep purple...

Love the custom colors....BTW your Fly looks very clean.....

I do not. It was a paint mixed specifically for the frame. It wasn't out of a color code book/platelet/catalog. I'm not sure if there is a number code or not.

I heard that next years FXR will have 6-7" of travel, adjustable. A 180 would be perfect!

Yeah sounds like Brent is making the new FXR a cross between the old FXR and the Fly. Perfection!

I ride with Margaritaman often. He loves the 180, I think I heard him say something like, "best fork I've ever ridden".

I run the Fox Float 180's with the FIT cartridge. They perform very well. And any adjustments that need to be made are quick and provide reliable results.

Cheers chumbacabra, i have now got the talas 180s on, only had 1 ride on them so far(jacobs ladder loop, peak district), il have to give them a few more rides before passing judgement,on best ever fork ive ridden, but 1st impressions were good, tho they weighed a bit more than advertised. I shall mainly using them in the alps where the extra 20mm and the 140mm for climbing will be needed most.

Terrible photo about 30sec after its first pedal down the road, looking forward to giving it its first proper ride in the morning.

After rind a first gen fly for 6 years it'll be nice to have a new race bike for next season

Hypoxic just made me very jealous!
I thought I was the best with my 2 complete bikes 2:1 Foes DHS but now I know where is the next step! Few minor changes in 2010 that make a nicer looking bike!

Jup, ist eine 2008/2009er. Die Gabel ist aus einem Trainingsbike vom Hügel Sam und praktisch neu. Sie arbeitet ein gutes Stück besser als eine normale.

    Thanks for the pics !
Do you have a partlist ? What is the actual weight of the bike ?
Are the decals custom ? They look much better than the oldschool originals.

The new Air shock look better than the old one (2006-2009).
I don't know if it's possible to fit on oldest 2.1 Mono frame.
    Anyway it's looking good.
Fluid bike got new riders. Welcome you guys on this forum.

    Hi,

I'm not 100% sure on the weight, but it should be sub 40lbs. The decals are custom, as are one or two other parts.

    Cheers.

And again, Cycleworks invited to it's all year meeting. Many riders and their rokets came to meet.

There were some awsome highlights that Cycleworks organized from Foes fund and brought to switzerland.

Fab Foes 001, the first frame that Brend Foes welded in 92 with 6,5" suspention travel and started a new aerea in mountainbike sport.

LTS, light travel service, from the year 95, the first serial production.

    "Weasel, the legend lives"
    It needs no more words.

DH Slammer, th predecessor to DHS Tube and the DHS Mono 2:1.

"The Missle" Missy Giove's original worldcupmachine of Global Racing Team.
    Custom to the max

There were some prototypes to see:
SSV, Kiddie Trike and The Gator Fixie.

And of course there were some new highlights from the bikefaktory of Pasadena:

Hydro, FXR, F275 and Shaver 29"

Monkeyheadcycles brought his pinstripemaster and he garnished by request.

And of course the man at grill and the lady at bar took this Cycleworks event to a complete success.

Picture speek louder than words, check it out...
