FXR floating brake - requires swapping of rear stays?
The previous generation FXR I see came with a floating brake option. Im wondering if an FXR without the floating brake can be easily converted to floating brake OR does the whole rear end need to be swapped? It doesnt seem easy to find these frames, so if i found a deal on a non-FB frame, my question is thus. Thanks!

Yah. And they're super rare. Most people didnt go with the floating brake option. Call Foes and see if they can work you a deal...

The rear triangle is completely different, plus an attachment point for the floating rod will need to be fab'd. Does work well though, almost a necessity with a single pivot design unless you like brake jack. It will add some weight as well.

I forgot about the seat tube boss. Theoretically that shouldnt be bad unless there is an issue with welding on heat treated metal... that i dont know about.

I've been looking for one second hand, but its not working out. I have an old Fly with the floating brake and its FANTASTIC.
