    Candy Apple Green

We recently had some frames power-coated for a local downhill team in the area. We call it a raw candy apple green finish. It's looks really sharp in direct sunlight and you visibly see the aluminum. Just in case you didn't know, Foes offers a custom power-coat option on all their frames.

    Enjoy!

Proud to be made in the USA.

I'll definitely post some pictures up as soon as the team has the bikes built up.

    I like it

I think I'd like it even better if the frame were polished out first.

I think you're on to something here. We actually have been toying around with the different ways we could do with this type of finish, bead blast, wire brush, etc. While polishing is possible, it can remove too much material if done incorrectly. Areas such as the welds are susceptible as too much removal will weaken that area.

I would also like to point out that this type of finish can be done with other colors. For example:

It's important to keep in mind that certain colors work better than others in this finish. The next Foes that I ride will have the clear candy red finish without base coat.

As promised, here is one of the team bikes built up.The Incycle downhill team in Southern California will be riding custom clear candy green Hydros.

Hello, can you use an allen key on the bolt through axle on the candy red bike? that would be very useful as i have been caught out with a snakebite and no spanner.
