Recovering from a pulled hamstring (boredom made me build it from spares and the wheels off my Tracer 275 while that frame is at the PC), so far I've only ridden it to the liquer stor but it runs over curbs well.

    275 Fly didn't last long

I rode it only once as a 275, rode well dispite a partially blown shock but the bigger wheels increased the stand over hight and my Tracer 275 frame came back from the powder coaters so the 275 wheels went back on that frame. I decided my extra 26 wheels would go back on the Fly and took it out to one of my favorite local trails.
The old Fly was way ahead of it's time and is still serving well 12 years after it was built! In my first post I stated that the frame was an 03 but I found the reciept from when I had the front triangle replaced under warranty and that was in May of 02, so this frame is actually an 01!!!
I'm trying to find a lighter shock option to reduce the 11 pound frame weight, problem is that this frame uses an 11" eye to eye shock! Foes use to make adaptors for Fox air shocks and may have some still laying around the shop, even then my understanding is that the DHX air dosn't work on the original Fly and the RP 23/CTD max is 8.5 X 2.5 which with the 2.77:1 leverage ratio would turn this tank into a 5.925" travel bike, which would be 3-4 lbs heavier than some of the more modern 6" bikes. Still dig it though!

I had a 03 Fly and it was a great bike. The 06 that replaced it was better, looked more refined, and rode a bit better too. But I had a Fly for 10 years; says something.
