    Virtue with broken carbon chainstay...

Since the trails are real muddy, I put away my big bike and got out the Virtue for a little XC spin through the woods. Started hearing things rubbing and handling all squirrely so I got off to check it out. The brake side dropout had come unglued from the chain stay and the drive side droput was snapped off at the chainstay junction. Long walk out

Bike is at LBS, waiting to hear the resolution. A couple of threads on here got me concerned, but we'll wait and see. I'll report back when I hear something.

For those of you wondering how Felt responded.....

Just got the bike back with a new carbon rear end. Took just a bit over a week. Couldn't ask for any better service than that! ( Was hoping that they'd have to replace the whole frame with the newer version, but hey...)

The new version rear triangle appears to be one piece, so shouldn't be coming apart again. Also has more room for a bigger tire. A 2.3 was a real tight squeeze before.

Off to get the new parts muddy to match the rest!!
