    Chris King BB
    I9 Torch Wheels. Red hubs.
    Thompson Stem. 110mm
    WTB Ti Silverado Saddle

That frame and build look really good.

I hate to badger you with questions, but I'm trying to decide on a new HT and the Felt's geometry coupled with the fact that a 36t XX1 chainring fits makes it pretty appealing. My only concern is that I noticed the bb is on the low side. Have you had to make any adjustments to avoid pedal strikes? Also, what do you think about the ride - is the rear end on the stiff side, or is it fairly compliant?

Well its stiff. Very stiff, yet compliant. Best I can describe is this. On my alum hard tail, when I land a jump, it hits pretty hard. You land with a BANG! On the Felt, you land with a thud. THe carbon absorbs the shock without any noticeable flex.

I also have a Pivot 429 Carbon. I pedal strike a lot with that bike if I'm not careful. This bike I have not, not yet anyway.

I was concerned about the geometry being a little too aggressive. With the 100mm fork its perfect. My only complaint is with a zero degree stem, the shifter doesn't clear the top tube. I don't want the bars any higher so for now I will run the shifter a tad loose. I have a bit of clear 3m tape on the top bar. I will try to keep the crashes on the left side.

Any updates now that you've had it for over a half year?

I've had a 2015 for a couple of months now. I haven't ridden it a ton but what I've taken from it is that a low BB and relatively short stays coupled with a very light and snappy frame make it a very fun race bike. But, that's what it is, a race bike. I prefer lower BB especially on 29ers since it helps a bit in the corners and have no issue with pedal striking on occasion consider how well the bike handles for what it is.

My goals are a handful of XC races then I plan to purchase an Enve fork and use the bike for some more technical gravel races and even some CX. I even have commuted on it a few times. Great bike if you're looking for a rocket. Mine was 20.5 lbs out of the box and closer to 21.5 with tires that I trust. I can lose 100 grams or more when I switch wheels.

The X0 drivetrain is acceptable but I do prefer Shimano. The x0 brakes are adequate but noisy. Sid is a good fork, and the wheels are decent enough.

Hope this helps a bit. All in all a decent value for the money!
    My one says BRAP!
