    My 19.5" 2008 Solo + 17.5" 2008 Redemption

    I have set my Rebas to 100mm travel and this is the single best thing I have done to my bike.

    Since the photo was taken I have fitted a single speed converted M960 chainset with a black spire ring, and a front Bonty X-lite 29er wheel, and am runnig the front crossmark tire tubless.

    I am running a 100mm 7 degree stem, and have replaced the conical spacer under the stem in the photo with the smallest/lowest spacer I could get my hands on. It has DX flats on it as I was letting a couple of other friends try the bike, it has XTR spd's on it normally.

    My redemption 2 2008 has a Vanillar RC coils hock fitted, an outer bash gaurd and a BB mount black spire "Stinger" roller guide fitted. Tires are 2.5", Telonix rear and Nevegal front.
    Stem is flipped upside down to get the front lower and the bars are SunRace 730mm with only a very minimal rise.

    Inner tube obn the down tube is to protect from all the rocks - this photo is taken in Alp D'Huez couple of days before racing the Megavalanche.

    Ah, that's our Dano. Plenty of time to make useless comments on my thread, but none to actually contribute some value to this one.

    Here is my redemption, its worth more then my car:

    I may swap the Lyrik for a Totem in the future. Its already aheavy and large bike, so a pound or two won't hurt.

    Pictures soon... I have to get it dirty first.
    I do not like the FELT seat on my Q620 though.... may be trading in very very soon. Or maybe needs some adjustment... Numbing tingling pain right now...

    Put about 15 miles of city commute on my bike today. Love it!
    The fork lockout works like a CHAMP!!! near ZERO travel when locked out.
    Man that headlight is huge..lol

    Nice bike! I love Felt hardtails! I would usually say lose the dork disc and sissy reflectors but you have a commuter bike so you need as much reflection as you can get for the cagers to see.

    I love it! Now that I've put some miles on the fork, I can say that they make a pretty big difference! It's like the Q-series was made for them.

    That is a NICE bike, hope felt offers redemptions and compulsions in the U.S again. I was really bummed when I found only short travel bikes on felts site this year.

    Thanks I too hope they bring back the big travel bikes for next year. I can't understand why they decided to do that.

    Joining the Family

    My parents got in touch with Cam Zink after i checked out this frame, and got it for me for my birthday. It was his backup frame from 09, never ridden. Threw in a buncha schwag to.
    It has a .25" shorter shock on there to slacken the geo out, and make it easier to jump. he included the original shock in case i wanna do some XC...

    finally built up...

    This this feels just like my porter (im running a shorter shock in the back), but there is more travel and the suspension design is so much better. I havent jumped this bike to much yet, but i'm really looking forward to it. It bunnyhops just as well, if not better than my porter, is just is light, and has just a tiny bit steeper HA (i cant notice to much)...

    i did a few 1' drops that were on the DH trail i did, and i couldn't even feel landing because it was so smooth. I was hitting the rockier lines, and felt super solid. As long as this jumps close to as well as my porter (northstar jump line in a few days) then im keeping this one built up.

    im runnin a 100mm fork, its just compressed a little because of the tie-downs... im about to order an X-Fusion velvet at 130mm for this bike...

    Hi all,

    New here. I have a Felt Z5 road bike and am looking at buying a mountain bike. The Felt Z5 fit me better than any other brands, so I'm looking for a good entry level mountain bike.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks in advance!

    My Felt's

    My first mountain bike and main ride - The 08 Redemption 2 . Picked up used but like new condition about 11 months ago. I've had alot of fun picking up all the nicks, scratches, and dings, My bikes gottem also. My 2nd bike is a 08 Compulsion 2. I picked this up used but in like new condition also, about 7 months ago. I've done a few upgrades and like to have both set up very close to the same. Purchasing almost everything 2nd hand has allowed my to end up with 2 bikes I really love, But OH BROTHER have you seen the 2013 Felt's! Especially the Compulsion's.

    Will post pics as soon as I hit the required post count. But have a Redemption 3 '09. Recently swapped out a few parts, so sitting on:

    Hope Tech M4 Evo (Stealth) Front + 203 Hope Saw Rotor;
    Hope Tech M4 Evo (Stealth) Rear + 183 Hope Saw Rotor;
    Shimano XT m771 + Shimano Deore Shifter;
    SRAM X0 Type 2 10 Speed + SRAM X0 Shifter;
    Float R Air (stock);
    RockShox Domain 318iS (stock);
    Truvativ Firex 3.1 Crank (stock)
    22/32/44 on the front ring, since I use it for road riding too - top ring is disposable, pretty much a bash guard on DH/XC
    Stock Rims;
    2.2 Nobby Nic on the back;
    2.4 Maxis Ardent on the front.

    Had to swap the Headset for a Hope 1.5" step down due to rusted bearings. Pics inc as soon as I can

    I picked up an 09 Q520 of CL for 200 with a bunch of small accessories (no upgrades to speak of). My first bike since I was riding huffys in high school. I never thought much about the difference between a wal-mart bike and a "real" bike until I got this. I know its an entry level bike, but even at entry level, its a night and day difference.

    I don't plan on doing much as far as upgrades go. My plan is to get back into riding on this and in a couple years (provided I stick with it) I plan on getting a new bike.

    Also, i dont know what the post count is to post pictures, and i may never hit it since i generally dont post alot in forums, but if i ever do i will post picts.

    No pics yet, but just bought a '12 Nine Elite Carbon, the red one. It's bloody gorgeous! Managed to crash it a couple of times the first time I took it out to Quiet Waters here in So.Fl but it's going to Atlanta next week to be my Georgia bike. 29 hardtail good for there, I think. I LOVE my Turner 5 Spot for the tight stuff I normally ride.
    Cheers

    "New" 2011 Edict LTD

    I recently purchased a new 2011 Felt Edict LTD frame on ebay and built up a new XC race bike. This thing is fast! and a steal at the prices that many dealers seem to be selling them at, presumably to make room for the 29ers.

    Specs:
    2011 Edict LTD Frame
    2012 SID XX World Cup setup at 110mm with 15mm through axle
    Full SRAM XX drivetrain
    Magura MT8 brakes 180/160
    Easton EC90 XC wheelset
    Easton EC90 handlebar
    Easton EC79 seatpost
    Easton EA90 stem
    Continental X-King Protection tires setup tubeless
    Speedplay Frog pedals

    22.02lbs as it sits with pedals, computer, hrm, etc
