    Water cage recommendation

    Hey all,
I just picked up one of these:

Stanley 1913 One-Hand Vacuum Insulation Bike Mug: 16oz; Stealth

this is for something warm/hot on my long cold rides this year. I'm looking for a cage that won't tear this up.

    Thx

    Mark

I have one of those, and it fits in most any cage, if your frame has room (my small Fatback.did not). Just tried it in an old Bontrager plastic cage, a newer plastic Elite cage, and a older metal Elite cage (with those plastic buttons), and they all hold it snug. For really hot drinks on really cold days, though, a Liquid Solutions thermos (+/- 16 oz) is even better, and fits cages also. Downside is you have to pour into the top cup instead of sip like with the Stanley.. I used to bike 11 miles to the bus all winter in VT and always had hot coffee for the bus ride using that thermos.

just attach a bottle cage mount to the fork.. no worry about clearance in the frame triangle
