tire questions
I currently have a BFL front and Husker Du rear, on clownshoes. As the mud season is nearly upon us, I am considering my options, including Bud and Lou. The Lou looks like it will be a fine choice for traction, but not so good on stretches of pavement i encounter. Wondering if anyone has experience with Bud as a rear tire, and how it behaves.
Thanks

I have Bud and Lou and they roll surprisingly well on the road. Higher PSI is better of course.

I have Bud & Lou tubeless on Clown Shoes and riding on hard surfaces really isn't an issue for me. My commute is 10 km and I have no frustrations riding it with the Moonlander. I used BFL's before and there is a definite difference, but I think BFL's roll incredibly well to begin with.
A Bud will be likely to roll better than the Lou, so if reduced rolling resistance is important it's worth a shot. By far it shouldn't be a bad rear tire, it's just that the Lou is even better.
One thing to note is that are you racing or otherwise riding against the clock? Because if you aren't, you might want to make the ride as fun as possible. It could mean a Lou in the rear, even if it means you are a slight bit slower on pavement. I'm sure you'd need a clock to really notice the difference.
