    ti mukluks & rear racks

Does someone out there in the internet found a good rear rack for a ti mukluk? For whatever reason the ti mukluks do not have eyelets near the drop outs like all of the other mukluks do. I know that a salsa minimist rack works, but i would like a rack that could handle more weight as the minimist rack can only handle 5lbs. If you have pictures that would be awesome.

    Me Too!

I got caught on the same issue, so I'm also looking for a rack that doesn't destroy the lines of the bike. Must be some clean way of clamping onto the seat stays.

I believe Bontrager has parts so you can attach a rack to a bike without the dropouts.

Sorry, forgot to mention that you need to scroll right on the thumbnails until you see the item picture below. I think this may help, although I'm not sure what it's called...

Try contacting Old Man Mountain for their mounting advice as they are making fat bike specific racks. Did this with my Fat Back. John was especially helpful and the racks are first rate quality. He worked with some photos I provided and sent exactly what I needed for mounting the rack perfectly. I will be adding a front rack soon.

Even though my bike has the eyelets for racks, OMM has a range of band clamps to allow installation of their racks on bikes without them. Cargo capacity is around 40lbs and up depending on the model. I'm pretty sure they would have a solution for you.

Salsa has the minimalist rack, which I was told by Salsa would work for the ti mukluk as long as the rack-lock collar is used. However, the minimalist rack and only handle 5kg (11lbs) and there maybe some issues where the rear tire could rub on the bottom of the minimalist rack, depending on what angle the rack is installed at.

If i was putting a rack on mine, i would talk to OMM. I am pretty sure that a cold springs could fit.

If you go to bicycletouringpro.com/blog/freeload-rack-review/ , you will find a review of a good possibility for your Ti Muk, and a link for the rack site.
