    Surly recalling forks.

Did a quick search and did not see this posted.

"Surly Bikes is recalling approximately 975 Pugsley forks. The bicycle fork can bend above the disc brake mount. This recall applies to both 100mm and 135mm-spaced forks."

I saw it on Bike Radar.

    Cheers,
    Steven

Guess those cost savings measures from over seas production are really paying off.

Thanks for the info. Glad to see some useful posts on the old fatbike forum...as opposed to grouchy a-holes^^^, or sarcastic posts, or topics about the daggum beast.

    Edit: ^^^nice edit.

Guess so, since even the most staunch pro-American/Canadian bike producers are doing it.

    Oh, give me a break.

Surly has been made overseas from day one. Anyone who says otherwise is totally incorrect.

...and anyone who doesn't like this can silently demonstrate their moral superiority by buying only home grown product.

With over 3,800 HARD miles (singletrack, technical, rocky, drop offs, hard landings, etc.) ridden on my Surly 100mm non-offset Pugsley fork, I was worried when I first saw this thread. Now I realise its only the forks with the bottle cage bosses on them which have this problem.
