Surly Pugsley and Shimano Hydraulic Brakes, adapter question!

    Hi, rookie fatbike question...

I have the latest rendition of Shimano SLX brakes and I'm trying to mate them to my Pugsley; I'm using 160mm rotors and the Shimano adapters I normally use for my non-fatbike don't seem to allow my caliper to properly "reach" the rotor...as in, the rotor doesn't go in far enough into the caliper / pads.

Any idea which adapters will work?

    Thanks for your help.

A picture could be helpful. Are you having problems with the front, back or both? There is nothing fat bike specific about mounting brakes on a Pugsley.

Try using a rear brake adapter on the front.

^ That's what you need. Says so in the manual as well.

Dang! Should've looked in the manual. Case closed. Thanks forum members for your help.
