surly OD crankset release date and price

Now that Bud, Lou, Knard are out... next thing up is the OD crank.

Anyone have any insider info yet or anything posted to QBP about the release date and/or price of this crankset?

I know there are a couple other threads on this. Post up here if you know any specifics!

I e-mailed Surly as I'm in the process of having a Moonlander built. They told me Feb. or March 2013.

No one at Surly responds with info. My pet peeve with them is they never post release dates or msrp for future products, which nearly all other manufacturers will do. Seriously, they let info out about this crank months ago and still no word on when it will be available or cost?

Mostly, the OD has the spider forged into the crank, whereas the MisterWhirley has only the granny ring mounts - and uses various spiders to bolt to those - including the MWOD, which bolts the granny on directly (moving it outboard) and then uses additional holes in the granny and a special midring to bolt to them.
Fatbikes are much more fun than they should be allowed to be!
