Summer wheels for Carbon Beargrease-ML or RH?

For hard packed trails, which makes more sense, Marge Lites or Rabbit Hole 29er? ML would offer more cush, RH would be faster rolling.

I'm in the process of building some Rabbit Holes laced to i9 hubs for summer... just waiting on spokes...

For hardpacked trails, a mountain bike makes more sense. Faster, cheaper, lighter.

But if you've got a compelling reason to ride fat on hardpack (and many do), then RH's are the ticket.

RH will be next on my 9:Zero:7, it's hard keeping up with cat 1-2 racers on 20# 29ers with Marge Lites.

29+ I went with Nextie 29x35 carbon rims but Rabbit Holes are sweet too!

Summer wheels for Carbon Beargrease-ML or RH?

I don't know what compels me to ride this bike on hardpack...I've got plenty of mtn bikes (light, fast, but not cheap). The carbon Beargrease is the best handling fat bike I've ridden--so maybe that's it.

I couldn't agree more. I line in rock and technical terrain territory and my BG carbon is the best handling bike ever. I just smile when I ride it. I'm rocking HEDs for all season. Just vee8s for hard pack
