    Sturdy hub gear

    I'd forgotten about these.

    Built for motorbikes in 1913. Be strong enough for any mtb use!

    Now to track one down to see what's inside.

    I see your point, and would have drooled over this a year ago. Since then, I've put my Alfine 8 through hell and back and it keeps on kickin'. I like where your head's at, though...I've been considering drum brakes for some time now, just too gutless to pull the trigger.
